They've been teasing it for a long time!
Last updated 23 hours ago
Since all the excitement last year when Take That announced they would be going on 'The Circus Live Tour', fans have been hoping for information about new music, and now the band have released details of their highly-anticipated 10th album.
After eagle-eyed fans noticed at the end of the Netflix documentary Take That there was a new song called 'You're A Superstar', the band revealed it will be on their upcoming 10th album, which Gary is very excited for fans to hear. On 1st October the band revealed the name, release date, artwork and tracklist for album number 10! So let's find out more about what to expect and when...
What is Take That's 10th album called?
The band announced on Thursday 1st October 2026 that their next album will be called 'Dreamers'. This is the same name as their upcoming European Tour, due to start next year, and their song - released on the same day as the album announcement.
They revealed the exciting news on social media, sharing a promo video in the style of a retro comic book, captioned: 'We’re so excited to announce our 10th studio album, Dreamers, is out 20th November ❤️
'The title track is yours today 💫 Dreamers out now.
'Pre-order the album now.'
What is the album artwork?
The album artwork is in a retro comic book style.
When will it be released?
Over the last year the band haven't kept it a secret that they have been writing new music, teasing release dates in various interviews.
Take That spoke to Ken Bruce on Greatest Hits Radio where Gary Barlow told the radio presenter: "We've been at it (writing) for about a year now. We write away and what we tend to do nowadays is spend a lot of time writing and a short time recording."
The singer went on to reveal a rough timeline saying: "And so we're going to be recording in April an album for Christmas, I think."
This matched what Gary said in 2025 in an interview with Magic Radio, where he told Nicki Chapman: "We're also writing for the next Take That album, which will probably be the end of next year..."
Then, on the day they announced the new album, they also revealed the release date would be Friday 20th November 2026.
What does it sound like?
The band have released a few songs so far, so fans have already had a chance to get a flavour of what's to come. All the traits of a Take That song with their driving beats, coupled with the lifting choruses.
In August 2026, Gary gave some further details about the new music telling his fans in a video: "Of course we've got a big record, a 10th studio album, Take That... It's poppy, it's fresh, it feels really good. It think we've caught a little wave here. It's always tricky to make albums, but I feel like at the 11th hour, this one has really come together."
This follows what Gary said back in 2025. He opened up about writing the album saying: "There's always something to write for. And I think it becomes very obvious very quickly, when it's Take That. Take That is the music we love to release, always looks upwards. I'm going to use some descriptions here.
"I actually hate talking about music, I like just making it and doing it rather than talking about it, but Take That music always feels like it goes upwards. It looks upwards and I always think you should imagine a big stadium full of audience with their arms in the air. And if you can do that to a song that's usually a Take That song."
Speaking on the day of the album's announcement, Gary, Mark and Howard said of the album: "When we were making this album, our 10th as a band, we didn't set out to write something which reflected on our career together.
"However, in a year which has already been so incredible for us, what transpired when we started to share music and ideas was we had taken the best bits of what we’d learned as Take That and put it into these songs. We're very happy and proud of what we’ve created and we can't wait for everyone to hear it."
