They played an 18-song set of classics with the odd new song
The core Rolling Stones trio of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood have a combined age of 236.
Their new tour is part-sponsored by AARP, formerly the American Association of Retired Persons, but the band are showing no signs of settling down in their slippers just yet.
Last night (28th April) saw the opening show of their Hackney Diamonds tour at the aptly-named NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas and they rolled back the years with a set full of classics – along with a couple of songs from the new album.
There was a live debut for ‘Hackney Diamonds’ song ‘Mess It Up’, along with the album’s lead single ‘Angry’.
Hits like ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’ and ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ were all included, as were a number of slightly deeper cuts.
Jagger revealed that ‘Beast of Burden’ was voted onto the setlist by fans, while the singer preceded ‘Out of Time’ by saying they had never played it live in the US.
The singer also took a trip to NASA's Space Center while the band were in Houston, sharing some snaps on his Facebook page.

Francis Rossi - September-November 2026 and March-May 2027
Status Quo legend Francis Rossi will head on a 30-date tour this autumn — followed by a second leg in Spring 2027. 'The Songbook: Quo – Past, Present, Future tour' will include songs from Francis' solo catalogue, as well as hits from his Status Quo days. It will run from 22nd September until 10th November initially, visiting venues across the UK. It will then return from 17th March to 8th May 2027. It follows the release of his new studio album 'The Accidental'.

Skindred - October-November 2026
Skindred are set to perform a six-date UK and Ireland tour in 2026, with a special Halloween show taking place in London. The Welsh metallers' run of shows will start in Nottingham on 24th October and wrap up in Glasgow on 13th November. They'll be supported on some dates by Alien Ant Farm and Spineshank and Orgy.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show - October-December 2026
The Australian Pink Floyd Show will head on a Greatest Hits UK Tour in 2026, visiting venues across Britain for more than 30 shows. The tour will kick off at Bristol Beacon on Monday 26th October and conclude at Cambridge Corn Exchange more than a month later, on Saturday 5th December.

Blaze Bayley - October-December 2026
Blaze Bayley is set to perform songs from his tenure with Iron Maiden during a series of shows in October and December 2026. His 'Iron Maiden Anniversary Tour' will visit Bedford, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Grimsby, Manchester, Blackpool, Worthing, Bristol, Southampton, Crumlin, Stoke, Sheffield, Norwich, Nuneaton, Cannock, Bradford and London from 2nd October to 12th December.
He'll sing tracks from his albums with Iron Maiden; 1995's 'The X Factor' and 1998's 'Virtual XI' – as well as 1996 compilation album 'Best of the Beast'.
Parker Barrow - November-December 2026
Parker Barrow are heading on a new headline tour in November and December 2026. They'll perform from 25th November to 4th December, which includes their slot at Planet Rockstock on Sunday 29th November. They'll be supported by Wood Burnt Red.

These Wicked Rivers - November-December 2026
Heavy blues wizard rockers These Wicked Rivers have announced a lengthy UK tour for November and December 2026. Kicking off their Fire and Folklore Tour at Newcastle The Grove on Thursday 19th November, the hirsute band will also play Glasgow, Aberdeen, Carlisle, Leicester, London, Norwich, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Bristol, Falmouth, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Llandudno and Manchester before concluding at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on Sunday 13th December.

Mammoth - November-December 2026
Wolfgang Van Halen's band Mammoth is set to head on a European tour in November, which includes one date here in the UK. They'll perform at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Tuesday 24th, alongside Florence Black. It follows previously announced shows supporting Deep Purple, from 18th-22nd November.

Deep Purple - November 2026
Deep Purple are set to put on a series of shows around the UK this autumn, including a one-off show at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall. They'll perform in Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, from 18th-25th November.

Shinedown - November 2026
In support of their 2026 album 'EIGHT', Shinedown will head on tour this autumn. Getting underway in Birmingham on 14th November 2026, the UK leg of the tour will head through Glasgow, Nottingham and London, before concluding in Manchester on the 20th. They'll be supported by Coheed and Cambria, and Those Damn Crows.

The Temperance Movement - November-December 2026
The Temperance Movement will take their 'Let It All Out Tour' across the UK in November and December 2026, following their performance at Steelhouse Festival in the summer. The tour will begin at Birmingham O2 Institute on Sunday 15th November, wrapping up on 1st December at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town.

Little Angels - November 2026
Little Angels will return for their first show in 13 years on 9th November 2026, kicking off a new tour at Dublin Opium, followed by shows in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Norwich, Oxford, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Cardiff, Liverpool, Bristol, Bournemouth and London. Their 'Big, Bad and Back Tour' will feature the classic line up of vocalist Toby Jepson, guitarist Bruce Dickinson, drummer Mark Richardson, Jim Dickinson on keyboards and Mark Plunkett on bass guitar. Girlschool, Raven and Alcatrazz will join forces to co-headline their 'Winter Metal Meltdown' tour this winter, following a slot at Planet Rockstock on 26th November. Royal Blood - November/December 2026
Royal Blood will be going on the road around the UK in November and December 2026. Starting off in Bristol on 24th November, the band will visit Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton and London before ending in Brighton on 4th December. The Darkness - December 2026
After performing as special guests for Iron Maiden at Knebworth Park in July 2026, The Darkness will go on to play a series of shows in December that year. The 'Bands of Brothers Arena Tour 2026' will run from 8th-16th December and will be supported by Feeder and A. They'll visit Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Brighton and London.

Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter - December 2026
The Sex Pistols, with original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock plus Frank Carter as vocalist, will head on tour in December 2026. They'll visit Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London from 4th-20th, following a series of outdoor shows in the summer. The band have added additional dates due to exceptional demand.

The Fell - December 2026
Billy Sheehan's new band, The Fell, will head on their first UK tour in December. Described as a 'modern rock powerhouse', the band is also made up of Toby Rand (Juke Kartel, Rockstar: Supernova, AshenMoon) on vocals, Mike Krompass (Smash Mouth, Dead Romantic, Everybody Loves an Outlaw) on guitar, and Nick Chiarore (Steve Vai, Slash, Dead Romantic) on guitar.
The tour will get underway at Bristol Thekla on 1st December and will also head to Southampton, Manchester, London, Norwich, Newcastle, Leeds and Wolverhampton, wrapping up on 10th December.
Five Finger Death - January 2027
Five Finger Death will perform five UK and Ireland shows as part of their 20th anniversary tour in January. They'll play Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham and London from 16th-23rd January 2027. The hard rockers will be supported by Lamb of God and Bleed From Within.

Nightwish singer Floor Jansen will perform her first solo show in the UK in January. The vocalist will take to London's Electric Ballroom on Saturday 16th January 2027 as part of her 'HYTRESS Tour'. It follows the release of her new song 'Run'.

U2 - February-July 2027
U2 have confirmed they're taking their 'The Greatest Show on Earth' to the UK and Europe as well as Mexico and South America in February 2027. They'll be kicking things off in February in Mexico City, heading to Brazil and Argentina in March, visiting Sweden in April, France and Portugal in May, the Netherlands, UK and Germany in June and Italy in July. Fans are expecting the tour to extend through to 2028 and hoping for shows in the band's native Ireland.

Yes' nine-date 'Fragile' tour which was set to take place in the spring of 2026 has been rescheduled for 2027. They'll be playing songs from their back catalogue as well as their 1971 album 'Fragile' in full. It will kick off on 2nd May 2027, playing through 'til the final show on Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Sunday 16th.
Eric Clapton - May 2027

Carlos Santana announced his only UK show of 2027 as part of the 'Planet of Free Will Global Tour' 2027. The guitar virtuoso and his Santana bandmates will open the tour at London's The O2 on Wednesday 30th June 2027 as part of the iconic venue's 20th birthday concert series.
