U2 have announced the European leg of The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour, including two massive UK stadium shows.
Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. play London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th June 2027, alongside shows in Stockholm, Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Berlin and Milan. Shows in Spain are still to be announced.
With plans for The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour already in the works for 2028, the band is looking ahead to their all-important return home to Ireland.
The Edge says: “We can’t say too much about the next leg of The Greatest Show On Earth - we’re still figuring it out - but what we can say is, we’ll be wrapping it up in Ireland. There’s nowhere else we’d want to be for that party.”
U2’s special guests at all European dates are the magnificent Wolf Alice.
Tickets go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 6th November.
Also including shows in Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires early next year, U2’s The Greatest Show on Earth Tour follows the Friday 13th November release of the Irish band’s 16th studio album ‘Carnaval De Luz’.
The tour shares its moniker with U2's new single 'The Greatest Show on Earth', which was co-written by Bono and Brian Eno and tells the story of lovers fighting to keep faith in each other - and faith itself.
Commenting on the tour’s bold name, U2 said: “‘The Greatest Show on Earth’? Now that's a throwdown. It's a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life.
“A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto.
“Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.”
