How did season two end?

For those who need a little recap of how Silo season two ended, Juliette made a surprise return to the Silo, but as she re-entered she is met by Bernard, when they were both engulfed in a huge fire in the airlock.

Just as their fate was left hanging in the balance, the next scene showed a flashback to the Before Times in Washington DC in the darkness, and pouring rain. Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) is seen arriving at a bar, where he has his radiation levels checked by a doorman, before sitting down and chatting to a journalist Helen Drew (played by Jessica Henwick).

Congressman Daniel thinks they're meeting for a date, but it's soon apparent that Helen has a different agenda, as she asks him about the dirty bomb that was detonated on US soil, and if America will retaliate. Daniel also gives Helen a Pez - which Silo fans will know has had significance throughout the series.

Here we take a look back at each of the season three episodes so far...

Episode one - 'Who Are You?'

As fans are left wondering if Juliette is going to survive the huge fire at the end of the second season, viewers' questions are put to rest in the opening scene of episode one.

Set three months after the rebellion, Juliette, now mayor, is suffering from amnesia and helped by someone in her apartment, who reminds her: "The Silo is at peace because of you, because you came back". Juliette then meets with Camille where she finds herself having to make an appearance in the cafeteria, surrounded by the members of the Silo. And that's all before the titles roll.

For the first time in the entire series we get a proper insight into the Before Times. Congressman Daniel Keene meets up with his sister, Charlotte 'Charles' Keene (pictured below) who is a US Navy pilot. The pair discuss Daniel's failed 'date', with Charles telling her brother to get onto Senator Rosalind Thurman's committee for military action against Iran.

Back in the Silo, Juliette is beginning to ask questions about how she survived the fire, and Bernard didn't, however the answers she is getting from Robert Sims are not the truth. She also meets up with Shirley hoping for some answers, but Shirley cages up and doesn't give any.

Meanwhile, back in the Before Times, Charles is sent to Iran to retaliate against the dirty bomb they dropped in the US, leaving her brother, the Congressman, concerned for her safety. Charles' plane crashes and the Navy pilot ends up at a special hospital being treated for her injuries including amnesia, where she's visited by her brother, but sadly she doesn't recognise him.

The episode ends with Juliette receiving a bowl of soup, which contains a note in a capsule. The note says: 'Want to know the truth? Leave your bowl upside down. Go to the marketplace at 2. BURN THIS!'

Season three episode two will arrive on Friday 10th July 2026.
