Fans of The Traitors and its record-breaking celebrity edition will be thrilled to hear it'll be on our tellies for AT LEAST another four years. The BBC has revealed the increasingly-popular show has been renewed until 2030.
It comes after the 2026 series of the civilian edition and the first ever Celebrity Traitors BOTH smashed records, with more than 10 million fans tuning in to watch the series four finale for The Traitors — and 15.4 million people watching the celeb spin-off late last year!
After announcing the news on Thursday 12th March, the BBC said: 'Made by Studio Lambert Scotland, The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors will continue to promise audiences even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty from the now iconic Ardross Castle.'
The Traitors fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement after the news was announced, with many keen to ensure Claudia Winkleman continues in her presenting role. One wrote: 'Phenomenal news and please keep @claudiawinkle as host 🖤👸🏻' while another simply said: 'yay!!' (sic).
Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert said: “The Traitors has become a genuine television phenomenon across the world, but especially in the UK, and we’re thrilled to continue the journey with the BBC. It’s hugely exciting that audiences will have many more years of strategy, suspense and shocking twists still to come.”
Series two of The Celebrity Traitors is set to air later this year, with the fifth edition of The Traitors coming in early 2027. We'll now get one series of each show every year until 2030 — meaning fans can stay truly faithful to the psychological series for the foreseeable.
