Earlier this year, The Script released their album 'The User’s Guide To Being Human', and now they've released the third song from the record called 'Scars Align'. The song, which is follow-up to 'Man in the Arena' and 'The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall', has been described as 'capturing the small moments and big emotions that bring a touch of magic to day-to-day life', with its lyrics.

Speaking about the new song, Danny O’Donoghue said: "You can imagine how elated we all felt after finishing that song: ‘We’re onto something here!’ It feels like our ‘Beautiful Day’. ‘Scars Align’ could be a show opener, I can't wait to perform that live. I just feel like it’s gonna be huge."

The song also provides a subtle nod to the band's Mark Sheehan, who sadly passed away a couple of years ago, with the word play of its title - as Mark loved to 'twist a lyrical phrase in an unexpected direction'.

What is the song about?

A description of the song reads: 'Lyrically it embodies what vocalist Danny O’Donoghue does well - capturing the small moments and big emotions that bring a touch of magic to day-to-day life. It is inspired by Danny’s relationship with his wife, making for a celebration of life-affirming love that so many people will be able to relate to.

'It also provides a subtle nod to much-missed friend and bandmate Mark Sheehan. The word play of its title recalls how he loved to twist a lyrical phrase in an unexpected direction.'
