Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was hit by a car and killed in Rednal, Birmingham.
It happened on Ormscliffe Road just before 5:10pm yesterday (21 July).
A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries and died in hospital later that night.
A 28-year-old man was arrested after a car hit the man and a house on the street. Another two men - also aged 28 - were arrested following further enquiries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “A pedestrian, a man, was found to be in a critical condition with multiple injuries when ambulance staff arrived on scene. The team worked together to administer advanced life support to the man before conveying him on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, the man was confirmed dead in hospital last night.”
A scene remains in place as police continue their investigation. Officers are appealing to witnesses, or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage, to get in touch.
