One dead after van drives into crowds during Berlin Pride

One person has died and 16 others have been injured after a car was driven into a crowd at a Berlin Pride event.
The incident happened at Tiergarten park, close to the Brandenburg Gate, shortly before 22:00 local time on Saturday during the Christopher Street Day celebrations.
What police have said
Police said several people were reported to have been injured with three people in a life threatening condition.
A spokesperson told AFP the vehicle involved was "akin to a minivan or small SUV" and was later found abandoned in the park, where it appeared to have crashed into a tree.
Suspect named
Police have named the suspect as Abdul B., a 21-year-old man with a slim build and black hair.
He was wearing a black hoodie and white trousers, police said.
Police described him as "armed and dangerous" and urged people not to approach him.
He is known to police and described as being associated with the Islamist spectrum, according to a police statement.
No arrests have been made.
Manhunt widened across Berlin
Police said the search area has been widened to cover the whole city.
Thousands of officers have been deployed, using helicopters and thermal imaging cameras.
Police have asked witnesses to send in any photographs or videos they took at the scene.
