Mariah Carey will perform in the UK for the first time in six years this summer.

The global superstar has been been announced as the headliner for this summer's Brighton and Hove Pride celebrations.

She will perform at the Pride in the Park 2025 festival in the city's Preston Park on Saturday 2nd August.

Mariah was originally due to perform at the event in 2020, but it was cancelled that year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Brighton and Hove Pride's managing Director Paul Kemp said that he was 'beyond thrilled' to welcome Mariah to the event, adding:

"We were so excited to have her join us in 2020 and absolutely gutted the show couldn’t go ahead due to pandemic restrictions that summer.

"Pride is always an amazing weekend of celebration and inclusiveness of our city, and this year is going to be incredibly momentous.

"Our annual community parade will kickstart proceedings and with this year’s theme of Ravishing Rage, we march with unstoppable energy and fearless spirit, turning adversity into triumph.

"We can’t wait to show you everything that we’ve got planned for Pride ‘25!”

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10am nest Thursday (February 20th).
