Man found guilty of murdering James Brogan in Cardiff
The 43 year old died following a stabbing last year
A man has been found guilty of the murder of a 43 year old man in Cardiff.
James Brogan died following a stabbing in a park in St Mellons on Tuesday 12th November 2024.
Georgie Tanetta, 20, was convicted of the murder of James Brogan at Newport Crown Court earlier today (Thursday 29th May 2025)
A jury found him guilty following a trial and he will be sentenced on June 27.
At the time of his death, James Brogan’s family described James as ‘generous, caring and thoughtful - a comedian who loved making people smile and laugh.”
Detective Inspector Rebecca Merchant from the South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said:
“James Brogan was very much loved by his family and friends and he is missed by them every day. I hope the conviction at Newport Crown Court today provides some comfort to all who knew and loved him.
