A Valentine's card sent by Amy Winehouse to her imprisoned ex-husband is set to be auctioned in Woking next week.

The note, addressed to Blake Fielder-Civil, was written during a turbulent period in Winehouse's life as she navigated the end of her marriage amid a holiday in St Lucia with a new boyfriend.

Although Winehouse had filed for divorce a month earlier, she expressed love for Fielder-Civil and wished for him to move into her new home.

However, their divorce was finalised in July of the same year.

Winehouse also faced a setback when her London residence was burglarised in February, resulting in the loss of music equipment and personal items valued at £15,000.

In the midst of these challenges, the singer sent her husband a touching Valentine's card.

The card, featuring a Snoopy design, is accompanied by a decorative heart-shaped mount and a photograph of Winehouse.

It is hand-written and signed by Winehouse, with an envelope marked by Saint Lucia stamps and dated February 2009.

The contents read: "My Husband My Blake, Virtue Is Violent and Violets are blue, Blue -Bruised is My Heart, since its Beatings For You I Love You Handsome 4 Years your Amy x."

The item, which includes a Certificate of Authenticity, has an auction estimate of £2,000 to £4,000.

The auction will take place at Ewbank’s in Woking next Wednesday, 26th August.
