Jack Whitehall puts the record straight on why his dad 'walked out' of his show
It makes sense!
Jack Whitehall joined Fleur East, Will and James on Hits Radio to chat about his latest tour. Jack is currently on his 'Bad Influence' tour, performing in venues across the country including Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff, London, Bournemouth, Sheffield and more.
The comedian opened up about the awkward moment his dad 'walked out' of a show, leading to many thinking he'd 'stormed out', but Jack put the record straight.

Speaking to Hits Radio Breakfast, Jack explained how he had been trying out some new material and wanted his parents to see the show, as they featured in it. However, 15 minutes before the end of the show, his dad made an early exit, leaving many taking to social media saying he had stormed out because he didn't like the show.
However, Jack revealed the truth, explaining to Fleur, Will and James: "I’ve been doing my work in progress shows. I did one this week where I got my mum and dad to it, because their are obviously a few jokes about them still, and I need to let them see it once, just in case, if there were any legal issues.
"And I always say just, stick my dad right at the back of the room, I don't want to see him. That's the last face any comedian wants to see.
"And they said they put him at the back, but annoyingly he was just like caught in this like one little pool of light."
He continued: "So all I could do throughout the whole show is just see his face that looks like a slapped backside - not laughing at anything.
"And then also he didn't want to see me after the show. He wanted a car waiting so he could leave so he wasn't caught in the throng of people. But no one told me that. So then I also see him walk out 15 minutes before the end and I thought he hated it.
"And all the audience saw him as well, because they knew that he was in the room. So afterwards everyone was on social media, 'your dad stormed out, your dad stormed out'.
"I was like, 'no, he probably did hate it'. (But) he wasn't storming out, he was leaving because he wanted to get home in time to watch Newsnight." 😂
