She may have shot to fame on The X Factor way back in 2009, but mum-of-five Stacey Solomon is now a household name across the UK, thanks to her successful career over the years.

From appearing on I'm A Celeb to landing her own TV shows, the Dagenham girl is showing no signs of slowing down, with her joining the eighth series of The Masked Singer as a guest judge.

As Stacey navigates her working life alongside her husband Joe Swash, five children, two dogs and a whole other host of animals, we take a a look into what makes her adored by her fans.

Who is Stacey Solomon?

Stacey Chanelle Clare Solomon, or Stacey Solomon as you probably know her, is a singer and TV personality known for appearing on shows such as The X Factor, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Loose Women.

As well as releasing her debut solo album 'Shy' in 2015, Stacey is now one of the most-influential celebrities on social media, gaining traction and followers by keeping her fans up to date with her family life, her career and her now iconic Tap To Tidy feature, which also landed her a book deal.

In more recent years, Stacey has tried her hand at presenting, presenting Bake Off: The Professionals, as well as having her own shows Sort Your Life Out which entered its sixth season on 10th March 2026; and Stacey & Joe.

Stacey's place of birth is Dagenham, a town in East London, England.

What is the name of her house?

Stacey bought her 'dream forever home' for a reported £1.5 million in 2021. The house, which is situated in Essex, is appropriately called 'Pickle Cottage', a nickname she uses for her children and dogs. The family have now moved out of Pickle Cottage into Stacey's dream project, and she'll no doubt update us soon on the progress!

How old is she?

Stacey was born on 4th October in 1989, meaning she is currently 36-years-old.

Stacey shares her birthday with her daughter Rose and the girls certainly enjoyed themselves celebrating in 2025! Posting a video of their fun day out together, Stacey wrote on Instagram: 'I can’t cope with this video 😭 We decided to treat ourselves & have a day in London together for our birthday 🥹 it was THE BEST 😭

How many children does she have?

Stacey is a proud mum to five children, three of which she shares with her husband Joe Swash. Stacey is also a step-mum to Joe's son Harry from a previous relationship.

Is she married?

She sure is! After Joe Swash popped the question to Stacey in their 'happy place' during a family walk on Christmas Eve in 2020, the pair went on to get married on Sunday 24th July 2022.

Stacey and Joe were surrounded by their closest family and friends as they tied the knot in the grounds of their own home.

Stacey & Joe is a fly-on-the-wall documentary which follows Stacey Solomon, her husband Joe Swash, and the couple's family and work lives.

There's so far been two series of the hit show, with all 12 episodes available to watch on BBC iPlayer now. In April 2026, BBC bosses confirmed the show has been renewed for a third series, with filming having taken place over the summer.

Stacey has two beloved dogs, Peanut and Teddy! Stacey introduced her puppy, Sausage dog Peanut, in February 2021.

Introducing Peanut to her fans, Stacey told her Instagram followers: 'Welcome to our family little one. Another little boy for us all to love. And we love you so very much. Sometimes things just happen for a reason and souls come in to our lives just when they’re meant to. We still haven’t worked out what your name is yet but we know you’ll let us know. We love you puppy 🖤.' (sic)

She later revealed the family decided on the name Peanut.

In January 2022, Stacey revealed the family had welcomed another dog called Teddy, just weeks after her beloved Theo sadly passed away.

Sharing a photo of Teddy, she wrote: '🐾 Welcome Home Teddy 🐾 Last night we rescued a dog. But today I’m not sure who has rescued who 🥺 We miss you so much Theo 👼🏼. I hope you’re looking down from heaven smiling, knowing that peanut will no longer be so very lonely and that a doggy who really needed a family now has one 🐾🖤 To the moon and back, always 🖤🐾'. During Easter 2025, Stacey shared a heartbreaking update about her beloved rescue dog Teddy, revealing he'd had to have an emergency operation due to a predisposed condition.

On Monday 28th April, Stacey updated her followers about Teddy's health, sharing a teary video to her Instagram Story.

2009: The X Factor

Stacey auditioned for the sixth series of TV talent show The X Factor in 2009, impressing the judges during the early stages and making it to the live shows. With Dannii Minogue as her mentor, Stacey, who was just 19-years-old at the time, sailed through to the final, performing with the one and only Michael Bublé. Following a public vote, Stacey finished the competition in third place, behind runner-up Olly Murs and winner Joe McElderry.

2010: I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Following her appearance on The X Factor, ITV bosses signed up Stacey for the 10th series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010. After making a huge impact with both her camp mates and viewers at home, Stacey was crowned Queen of the Jungle ahead of finalists Shaun Ryder and Jenny Eclair.

2015: The Jump

Continuing with reality TV shows, Stacey signed up for the second series of Channel 4 show The Jump in 2015. With 16 celebs taking part in the snow sports show, Stacey was the seventh celeb to be eliminated.

2015: Debut album release

In April 2015, Stacey released her debut album called 'Shy', featuring songs such as 'Shy', 'Breath Away' and 'Gravity'. The album hit Number 45 in the UK.

2016-Present: Loose Women

After appearing on a number of episodes of ITV Daytime show Loose Women, it was later announced that Stacey would become a permanent panellist in Summer 2016. Stacey has been a regular panellist on the show ever since, becoming a fan favourite, although she doesn't appear as much as she once did due to other work commitments.

2016: I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Extra Camp

Six years after winning the show, Stacey replaced Laura Whitmore as a host on I'm A Celebrity spin-off series I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Extra Camp, which aired on ITV2. Stacey hosted the show alongside Vicky Pattison, Joe Swash and Chris Ramsey, and it was the first time she met the man she'd go on to marry and have children with! Despite Stacey's popularity on the show, she didn't return for any further series.

2018-Present: Primark range

Stacey teamed up with high street giant Primark in 2018, launching her first collection with the brand. The proud mum has since worked with Primark for a number of years, creating some stunning children's products.

2019: Celebrity Juice

Following Fearne Cotton's exit from panel show Celebrity Juice, Stacey announced she was going join the series in 2019 alongside Paddy McGuinness. Although she wasn't a team captain, Stacey appeared as a regular alongside Holly Willoughby and host Keith Lemon.

2019-2022: Celebrity Gogglebox

Stacey appeared alongside husband Joe Swash on the celebrity edition of award-winning Channel 4 show Celebrity Gogglebox. The pair first featured during the 2019 series, and have since starred in more series.

2021: Tap to Tidy

In March 2021, Stacey released her debut book Tap To Tidy. The book acts as a hub for Stacey's craft designs, hacks, recipes and her Tap To Tidy methods. Tap To Tidy sold an incredible 104,000 copies in just three days, making it the seventh fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time.

2021-Present: Sort Your Life Out

Following the success of her book Tap to Tidy, Stacey landed her very own TV show on the BBC called Sort Your Life Out. The hit series, which first aired in 2021, follows Stacey as she 'coaches' six families to declutter their homes. Series two kicked off in 2023, with a third series starting in September 2023. The was renewed for a fourth series in 2024, with episodes available on BBC iPlayer. News was quick to emerge that the show has been renewed for a fifth series, which started on Tuesday 11th February 2025, and series six arrived on 10th March 2026.

In March 2024, Stacey won her first ever award in TV for Sort Your Life Out. The programme won a Royal Television Society award for Best Popular Factual Show. Stacey took to Instagram to express her shock and delight at winning the award. In September 2024, the show won an NTA Award in the Factual Entertainment category. The show was up against the likes of Clarkson's Farm, Gogglebox and The Yorkshire Vet.

2022: Tap to Tidy at Pickle Cottage

After the huge success of her debut book Tap To Tidy in 2021, Stacey went on to release the follow-up called Tap to Tidy at Pickle Cottage in 2022, after she moved into her dream home Pickle Cottage with her family.

2022: Bake Off: The Professionals

In February 2022, Stacey announced she would be replacing Tom Allen on The Great British Bake Off's spin-off show Bake Off: The Professionals. Stacey joined the show alongside co-host Liam Charles and judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. Speaking at the time about her role, Stacey said: "I'm finally allowed to tell you the reason I've been away filming is because I'm presenting Bake Off: The Professionals this year. I honestly couldn't believe they even asked me. I was so nervous to follow in Tom's footsteps but he's been so kind and helpful and we've filmed a couple of episodes and everyone's been so so lovely."

2022- Present: Stacey Solomon's Crafty Christmas

Stacey ended 2022 in style with another craft show on the BBC called Stacey Solomon's Crafty Christmas. Airing in December 2022, the one-off special showed viewers how to craft a magical family Christmas without breaking the bank. Stacey returned with another episode for Christmas in both 2023 and 2024, with the mum-of-five being joined by her husband Joe and some of her kids.

2024: Stacey Solomon Renovation Rescue

Stacey landed a brand new DIY show called Stacey Solomon Renovation Rescue, with the first episode airing on Channel 4 on Wednesday 10th April in 2024. The six-part series saw Stacey help out families who had faced home makeover disasters, after being left high and dry by their builders. Although the series was renewed for a second series, due to other commitments, Stacey has been replaced by Vogue Williams and Luke Mabbott.

2025/2026: Stacey & Joe

In early 2025, Stacey confirmed rumours that she's landed her very own fly-on-the-wall documentary alongside husband Joe and their children. Titled Stacey & Joe, the series aired on BBC One for six weeks and followed the family at their home Pickle Cottage. The series started on Tuesday 1st April, running until 6th May. Just moments after the final episode aired, BBC bosses confirmed they'd renewed the show for a second series, with all six episodes available to watch on BBC iPlayer now. In April 2026, the news was announced the show had been renewed for a third instalment, with filming taking place that summer.

2025/2026: Britain's Got Talent

Due to illness, Simon Cowell was unable to attend the first day of auditions for BGT 2026 in early October. To ensure filming could still go ahead, bosses drafted in Stacey to appear on the panel, with the episodes airing in April 2026.

Is Stacey Solomon going to host The Voice?

Rumours were rife in August 2026 that Stacey would be taking over from Emma Willis on The Voice UK as host, and it was confirmed in September 2026 that she and Alesha Dixon will be joining The Voice UK to co-host.

Which awards has she won?

Royal Television Society Award

Stacey couldn't believe it in March 2024 when she won her first ever TV award for her show Sort Your Life Out, at the Royal Television Society Awards.

Taking to Instagram to express her delight, Stacey wrote: '✨ We Won ✨😭 Our First EVER award for sort your life out & my first ever award for my own tv show 🥲 And it’s a @royaltelevisionsociety award!! WHAT 😭 It’s only taken me 15 years 😂 I don’t even know what to say 🥹 I definitely wasn’t ready for the speech 😂

National Television Award

In September 2024, Stacey won a National Television Award for Sort Your Life Out. She was also nominated for an NTA Award in the Best Presenter category, but lost out to Ant and Dec.

Stacey was nominated again at the Best Presenter category at the 2025 NTAs, but this time she lost out to Gary Lineker, who ended Ant and Dec's 23-year winning streak. On the same night, Sort Your Life Out was up for an award in the Factual Entertainment category, but lost out to Clarkson's Farm.

Can Stacey Solomon sing?

She certainly can! Before appearing on TV and launching her own career as an influencer, Stacey found fame for her incredible vocals. After appearing on The X Factor in 2009, Stacey went on to release her debut solo album 'Shy' in April 2015.

The singer also released a rendition of Chris Rea's 'Driving Home for Christmas' for Christmas in 2011, which was used on the Iceland Christmas advert.
