A person was taken to hospital after an incident outside a nightclub in Bristol late last night.

Police were called to Nelson Street at around 11.50pm last night after reports of barriers being knocked over and people being pushed outside Electric Bristol. Officers worked with security staff at the scene to disperse the crowd.

The ambulance service transported one person to hospital for a possible neck injury, though police say no serious injuries were reported.

Avon & Somerset Police says its licensing team has already contacted the venue and event organisers to gather information and ensure similar issues can be avoided in the future.

A spokesperson for the Electric Bristol venue said: “We are investigating an incident that occurred outside Electric Bristol on the evening of 28 January 2025.

"Electric Bristol hosts hundreds of concerts and club events every year and we pride ourselves on an outstanding track record of public safety and hosting safe events.”
