Netherton man in court for antisemitic comments at Bristol protest

Ryan Ferguson, a 26-year-old from Netherton in Sefton, is set to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today, charged with causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm, or distress under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

Ferguson’s charges stem from a protest and counter-protest held in Bristol town centre on 7th March, during which he allegedly used antisemitic and racist language.

The case is scheduled for a 10am hearing on 28th July, where Ferguson will face allegations regarding his conduct during the event.

These charges highlight ongoing efforts to address hate speech and racially motivated harassment, with the justice system taking steps to confront such issues.
