Man arrested after teenager sexually assaulted in Bristol
22-year-old man in custody as police investigate Portland Square incident
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a rape investigation relating to the sexual assault of a child in her mid-teens in Bristol.
Avon & Somerset Police say the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place in the Portland Square area at approximately 3.30am on Saturday, 20th June.
The victim has been offered access to support services.
CCTV enquiries were carried out, leading to a public appeal for information earlier this week.
The man remains in custody as the police investigation continues.
