Man still in hospital two weeks on from A370 collision

An investigation has been launched following a two-car collision which happened on the A370 between Flax Bourton and Long Ashton.

The incident involved a black Citroen C3 and a silver Hyundai Tucson, occurring at around 12.50am on Monday, 2nd February.

The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 40s, is currently in hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Citroen, who is also in his 40s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

He has been released pending further enquiries and is due to attend a police interview.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or noted the manner in which the Citroen was driven prior to the incident.

They are particularly interested in any dashcam or other footage captured in the area at the time.
