Bristol Rovers sack Head Coach Darrell Clarke
Rovers drop to relegation zone after 3-0 defeat to Swindon
Bristol Rovers have sacked Head Coach Darrell Clarke following 10 straight defeats in League Two.
The announcement came after Saturday's 3-0 loss to neighbours Swindon, which leaves Rovers in the relegation zone.
Assistant Head Coach Jon Stead has also been relieved of his duties.
A statement on the club's website said: "The Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Darrell and Jon for their hard work and efforts.
"Darrell’s legacy at the Club is assured and he will always be warmly welcomed at The Memorial Stadium.
"The process to recruit a successor is underway and the Club will be making no further comment at this time."
Clarke led Bristol Rovers to successive promotions during his first spell in charge in 2015 and 2016.
The club was relegated from League One last season.
