Ambulance crews treat 10 people after home-made 'chilli spray'
10 people were affected following an incident at Costco in Avonmouth, Bristol.
South Western Ambulance services have treated 10 people for the effects of a home-made "chilli spray".
Emergency services were called to a Costco in Avonmouth, just after 6.30pm on Monday 17 February.
Crews did not need to take anyone to hospital and the spray contained no strong acid or alkaline ingredient.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended in a co-ordinated multi-agency response.
Store staff provided first aid until ambulance crews arrived.
Members of the public detained a teenage boy who was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
The incident concluded by about 8.30pm and police resources cleared the scene by 9pm.
