Mariah Carey to release physical edition of 'Daydream' (30th anniversary) later this year

It's been more than three decades since the release of Mariah Carey's fifth album 'Daydream', originally released in October 1995. The album spawned the massive hit 'Fantasy', along with 'One Sweet Day' with Boyz II Men and 'Always Be My Baby'.
Now, the singer has released the full album as a special 30th anniversary edition, available digitally, with the physical versions coming later this year. The new version of the album features 'unreleased bonus tracks, fan favourites, live performances, classic remixes', along with a new remix of 'Underneath the Stars' produced by Eric Kupper.
For the first time ever there are also rare writing demos from Mariah's songwriting sessions for 'Melt Away' co-written and co-produced with Babyface, and 'I Am Free' - co-written and co-produced with Walter Afanasieff (who also co-wrote and co-produced Mariah's huge Christmas song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You').
When was it released?
The digital version of the album is out now, it was released on 17th July 2026. But you'll have to wait until 16th October 2026 for the physical versions.

What formats is the 30th Anniversary Edition of 'Daydream' available on?
The album is currently available digitally through all the usual platforms. It will be released physically on 16th October 2026. It will be available on 3LP, 2CD and cassette.
What extras will the physical edition include?
Along with the extras mentioned above, the 30th Anniversary physical edition of the album will include some other extras according to the format.
3LP vinyl
This will include the full 'Live at Madison Square Garden' 1995 concert performance for the very first time. The collection includes some never-before-released tracks which make their vinyl debut.
2CD and deluxe digital
These versions include previously unreleased versions of 'Always Be My Baby' and 'Open Arms' recorded in Rotterdam in 1996, on Mariah Carey’s 'Daydream Tour'.

Queen - 'The Platinum Collection' and 'Queen II'

For the first time ever, Queen's 'The Platinum Collection' boxset was released on black vinyl. The release brought together the legendary band's 'Greatest Hits I', 'II' and 'III' across six black vinyl records.
The band also re-released 'Queen II' in 2026. 'Queen II Collector's Edition' centres on a new 2026 mix of the original 1974 album, with Brian May and Roger Taylor acting as executive producers.
The Eagles - 'Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975'

The Eagles marked their 50th anniversary with a crystal-clear 180-gram vinyl edition of 'Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975'. Pulled from their first four albums, it showcases 'Lyin' Eyes' harmonies, 'Take It Easy' country-rock, and 'Desperado' storytelling. The release coincided with its new Quadruple Diamond certificate for 40m+ sales.
George Michael - 'Faith'

In 2025, The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has confirmed a new album will be released saying: "Yes you will be getting a new album next year. It is done." This follows confirmation by producer Andrew Watt that he was working with the band to produce their new music.
