Woman found dead in Liverpool hotel as police launch investigation

Merseyside Police are treating her death as unexplained

An investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead inside a Liverpool city centre hotel.

Emergency services were called to reports that a woman had been discovered unconscious at the Lord Nelson Hotel on Hotham Street at around 1:40pm on Friday 11 April.

Police and paramedics attended the scene, but she was pronounced dead.

The Merseyside force says it's working to establish the full circumstances of the incident as well as how the woman died.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
