Man charged over stabbing at shopping centre in Plymouth
A teenager was found injured at Drake Circus shopping centre on Friday
A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing at a shopping centre in Plymouth.
A teenager needed hospital treatment for neck injuries he was found with at Drake Circus at around 5.20pm on Friday 12th June 2026.
A woman aged in her 30s who was also arrested has been released without charge.
In a statement a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"A 19-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at Drake Circus Shopping Centre in Plymouth.
"Officers were called to the centre at 5.20pm on Friday 12 June and found a teenage boy with knife wounds to his neck. He was taken to Derriford Hospital and has since been discharged.
"Tyke Lowe, of Grafton Road, Plymouth, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
"He is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 June.
"A woman in her 30s from Plymouth was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released without charge."
