Police have carried out an investigation into comments about a forthcoming court case made during Kneecap’s performance at Glastonbury Festival last month.

Advice was sought by detectives from the Crown Prosecution Service while enquiries were made. Following the advice, the police have decided to take no further action on the grounds of insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction for any offence.

Earlier today, officers informed Kneecap of the decision.

Police are continuing to carry out enquiries in relation to separate comments made on stage during Bob Vylan’s performance.
