North Shields’ prodigal son Sam Fender has seemingly revealed the locations of his 2027 UK stadium tour through a brilliant Lord of the Rings-esque video.

The video was shared to Sam’s social media channels on Monday evening (19th October) along with the caption ‘THE BEACONS ARE LIT’ – a nod to the system of signal fires in Tolkien’s books that transmit messages across the realm of Gondor.

It opens with two of Sam Fender’s band mates dressed as hobbits inside the hallowed grounds of St James’ Park as they prepare to ignite a flame with Gandalf - saxophonist Johnny ‘Blue Hat’ Davis – looking on.

The flame starts a chain reaction, and we then see aerial photos of St James’ Park, Manchester Etihad Stadium, Cardiff Principality Stadium, Ireland’s Malahide Castle, Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium, and London’s Wembley Stadium lit up by fire.

With drummer Drew Michael playing Aragorn, he spots the signals and runs inside a pub shouting “The beacons are lit!” to Sam, who is sitting enjoying a pint dressed as Frodo Baggins.

After Sam takes a sip of his pint, he stands up with his bag and walks off, ready to embark on his voyage to stadia across the UK.

No more details have been revealed; however fans are being urged to sign up to samfender.com to hear the tour news first.

Alongside the teaser video, Sam Fender ‘Proper Massive’ posters have started appearing across the UK, including Manchester:
