Black Sabbath guitarist and heavy metal originator Tony Iommi has announced his first solo album in 21 years, ‘From The Dark’.

Released on Friday 23rd October 2026 on BMG, ‘From The Dark’ features eight songs including the thunderous first single ‘World Alone’.

Powered by a barrage of flying guitar riffs and solos from Tony Iommi, and backed by a driving rhythm section, ‘World Alone’ is topped off with the powerful rock operatics of acclaimed Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande.

The striking video is based around a retrofuture, dystopian universe where the lead protagonist, The Believer, is pitched into a twisted video game to save his life and ultimately find salvation.

Jorn Lande lends his powerhouse vocals to all songs on ‘From The Dark’ and he also shares songwriting credits with Tony.

The album is co-produced by Tony and his longtime collaborator Mike Exeter, and it also features bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil.

Tony Iommi says: “It's an album we've really enjoyed making. We're not trying to prove anything - it's a great album, it rocks!”

Available to pre-order here, Tony Iommi’s ‘From The Dark’ is released on several deluxe vinyl and CD formats.

A limited edition 7” single of ‘World Alone,’ backed exclusively with an instrumental version and housed in a deluxe, foiled sleeve which will be released on Friday 4th September.
