To celebrate the release of The Rolling Stones’ incredible 25th studio album ‘Foreign Tongues’ today (10th July), Planet Rock is airing an exclusive one-hour show featuring interviews with Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards.

Hosted by esteemed writer, journalist and Rolling Stones biographer Paul Sexton, the Rolling Stones: Foreign Tongues Special features gloriously eclectic music from the album and sees Mick, Ronnie and Keith guide us through the tracks.

The rock legends explain why we didn’t have to wait too long after 2023’s ‘Hackney Diamonds’, what it’s like working with super-producer Andrew Watt, and why Steve Winwood guests on so many ‘Foreign Tongues’ tracks.

Poignantly, Sir Mick reflects on Charlie Watts’ posthumous appearance on the heaviest song on the album, the punk-infused banger ‘Hit Me in the Head’.

They also discuss their cover of the late-great Amy Winehouse’s ‘You Know I’m Good’, someone Ronnie Wood in particular was very close to.

“I’m sad because she didn’t do her full span,” Ronnie says. “It was like saying goodbye to Billie Holiday again."

Keith also expressed his regret at not spending more time with Amy, adding: "I was always sort of, 'Well, I’m bound to meet her down the road.

"You expect things to happen, and unfortunately no. But that’s what records are for. I’m just very glad and honoured to have played with her at least once."
