Silo season three: Find out more about the most recent season

Following the conclusion of Silo season two in 2025, fans couldn't wait to see where the dystopian series would take them, already knowing that it had been renewed for a third and fourth season by Apple TV.

More than a year after the second season finished, episode one of season three landed in early July 2026, with the final episode arriving on 4th September. Once again the season starred Rebecca Ferguson in the lead role of Juliette, alongside Shane McRae (Knox) and Remmie Milner (Shirley), with many new cast members.

When did Silo season 3 come out?

Episode one of season three landed on Friday 3rd July 2026, with new episodes dropping weekly. The final episode arrived on Friday 4th September 2026.

Is there a trailer?

Yes there is, on Tuesday 2nd June 2026, Apple TV announced the start date for season three along with a full trailer. They wrote: 'The end of the world had a beginning. Silo returns July 3 only on Apple TV.'

The trailer follows on directly from season two, when Juliette returned from her forced cleaning, resulting in an exploration of another silo. It's revealed that following the fire when Juliette returned to her silo, she's lost her memory, and only remembers what she's told by those she's surrounded by.

What is Silo about?

Silo is a dystopian series, and the synopsis for season three reads: 'Season three of “Silo” continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat.

'Meanwhile, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, “Silo.”'

What happens in Silo season three?

Episodes of Silo season three were released weekly, they started on 3rd July and finished on 4th September. In the season, we learnt more about the Before Times, and followed Juliette's quest to save Silo 18 from having the safe guard activated.

Bernard and Camille suspect that The Algorithm is a human, and not a computer as previously thought. In the final episode we finally find out the truth behind The Algorithm, and what it's like in Silo 1.

Will there be a fourth season of Silo?

Yes, fans will be very pleased to hear that will be a fourth season of the show. Apple TV announced there would be a third and fourth season of the show back in 2024. The fourth season will be its last.

Back in 2024, Rebecca Ferguson told Collider: "I believe that the show has an ending, and I know when that is. So that's the answer. You will find out when the show is done. To be honest, I don't think it's a secret. The books are the books. It's three books, and the three books are divided into four seasons.

"So I believe, unless any Apple person is gonna jump on, I think we're absolutely fine with saying Season 1, we've done. Season 2 is shot and coming out, and we're now looking at green-lighting Seasons 3 and 4. And I think we would film them maybe together, and that would be the end."
