There's a new wave of people just discovering Gary Oldman and Laila Morse are siblings
This old chestnut is doing the rounds again!
There are many famous siblings in the world of celebrity, we've got James and Dave Franco, The Kardashians, soap stars Charley Webb and Jamie Lomas, and many more, but the latest reveal has left some EastEnders and Slow Horses fans in complete shock.
Are Laila Morse and Gary Oldman related?
Despite this news coming to light a number of years ago now, the fact that Laila Morse (AKA Big Mo off EastEnders), and Oscar winner Gary Oldman are siblings has only just been discovered by many.
As he promoted the new series of Apple TV series Slow Horses, Gary appeared in a video for Radio Times, where he was shown his sister's now iconic trainer shoot for sports brand Reebok.
After seeing the viral photos, Gary said: "She’s done a Reebok campaign? Oh my god, that’s hilarious. You know, I’d recognise that laugh from far away."
He continued: "My sister has a laugh that sort of sounds like it’s trying to start a truck, or a car. Ah, hahahahaha... Well done, Maureen. Well done."
After seeing the video, many fans were quick to express their shock. One wrote: 'Today years old when you realised they’re siblings button', with another adding: 'Im more shocked at finding out that Gary Oldman’s big sister is Moe (Laila) 😮'. (sic)
A third gasped: 'His sister is Big Mo?!?! No wayyyyy!', with somebody else commenting: 'Okay I was today years old when I learned they’re brother and sister!'. (sic)
The confusion could be due to the fact Laila changed her name when she was younger. The EastEnders star was born Maureen Oldman, but she was later given the stage name Laila Morse by a fellow actress.

Meanwhile, Gary is back on screens with series six of spy thriller series Apple TV, playing the role of Jackson Lamb.
The show, which airs weekly on Apple TV with new episodes, had previously already been renewed for a seventh series, and now bosses have confirmed there will also be an eighth instalment.
Speaking about his character's journey on the new series, Gary said: “It’s more personal. I think the investment in the situation that they find themselves in the eleventh hour where someone comes in and pushes a nuclear button. Every season has that sort of race. But with this one he takes the attacks more personally, I think, because his horses are being targeted. So there’s a bit more fire underneath.”
