Six people, including five children, have been rescued from a serious house fire in Nottinghamshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Camborne Drive in Aspley early this morning (Tuesday 23rd December 2025).

There are no reports of injuries, but the property involved has suffered severe damage.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:

"Firefighters from Stockhill and Arnold Fire Station attended a fire on Camborne Drive, Aspley, following a call at 5:37am this morning.

"One female and five children got out of the house, after being alerted by their working smoke alarms.

"The fire was located on the ground floor of the terraced property, and a fire investigation was completed. Unfortunately, the bottom half of the house was severely damaged by fire and will now need to find alternative housing arrangements."
