Comedian and actor Russell Brand has entered not guilty pleas for two additional charges of sexual offences, including rape.

Brand had previously denied two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault related to alleged offences occurring between 1999 and 2005, involving four women.

On Tuesday (24 February), at Southwark Crown Court, the 50-year-old pleaded not guilty to a new count of rape and one count of sexual assault, both alleged to have occurred in 2009.

Brand, wearing a leopard print shirt with several buttons undone and holding a white hat, confirmed his name and his not guilty pleas from the dock.
