Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal Christmas Day stabbing in Wolverhampton

Police are continuing their investigations into a fatal stabbing that took place in Wolverhampton on Christmas Day.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found dead on Burcot Avenue just after 3.30am on 25th December. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On the same morning, two men aged 35 and 58 were arrested on suspicion of murder. They have since been released with no further action.

A 42-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She currently remains in custody for questioning.

West Midlands Police have stated that their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
