Cardiff City secure Championship return
The Bluebirds have been promoted from League One
Cardiff City have officially secured promotion from League One.
The Bluebirds' 3-1 victory away at Reading this afternoon (Saturday 18th April 2026) confirmed their place back in the Championship.
There have been celebrations in the stands and also on the pitch.
The promotion was officially confirmed after Stockport dramatically drew 3-3 away at Exeter.
