The Travis Kelce-coded track has already become one of the standout fan favourites on 'The Life of a Showgirl' album, racking up millions of streams.
Taking to Instagram on 6th February 2026, Taylor posted a clip of the video alongside the caption: 'The #OpaliteMusicVideo is out now, and it’s ✨ picture perfect! ✨ Watch on @spotify Premium and @applemusic and let us know who you spot in the cast. 🪨🌵'.
When did Taylor Swift announce the 'Opalite' music video?
'Opalite' is the third track on 'The Life of a Showgirl' album which debuted on streaming platforms on 3rd October 2025, alongside a visualiser on YouTube.
Though a video wasn't announced at the time, Taylor was later reported to be filming a music video for 'Opalite' in the UK in late November 2025 - which the singer did not confirm.

The 'Opalite' video is packed with familiar faces from Taylor’s recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, with the whole couch effectively transported into her 90s‑style infomercial universe.
Graham Norton himself pops up as the over‑the‑top 'Opalite' (or Nope‑alite) salesman, while Lewis Capaldi plays a cheesy mall photographer; Cillian Murphy appears as the slick advert frontman and voiceover for the miracle spray, and Domhnall Gleeson co‑stars opposite Taylor as the lonely man whose cactus companion is swapped for a real romance.
What’s the meaning behind 'Opalite'?
Speaking to Hits Radio on 3rd October 2025, Taylor revealed how 'Opalite' is less a straightforward love song and more a reflection on how we grow through things that don’t work out, and how failures can actually push us forward in wisdom and perspective if we choose to respond differently.
Taylor began by explaining: "That song was so much fun to write because it goes through all these situations where oftentimes in life when we go through something that doesn't work out, whether it's in our personal life or in our friendships or in our career path, we look at it as this like major setback.
"Like we've taken a step back, but I’ve found that so many of those instances in my life have based on how you respond to it, can catapult you forward in growth, in wisdom, in perspective."
She added: "And I think those are the things that I've tried to find to be the most attainable qualities and the most aspirational qualities in growing up, is can you react to certain situations in a way that benefits you and the people around you and essentially, like acquire wisdom because of it?
"'Opalite' is a song about forgiving yourself for having gone through something that didn't pan out the way you wanted it to.
"And it's because it says, you know, of all the perfect couples would look at you and say, 'when you know, you know, and when you don't, you don't'. It's giving yourself permission to not have it all figured out or not marry the first person you ever dated, stuff like that. I'm just happy that song exists and that chorus, I'm just stoked about how like absolutely infectious and borderline narcotic it is.”
