West Yorkshire Police officer due in court after sexual assault charge
He's been suspended from duty
A West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with sexual assault and is due in court next week.
PC Jody Shelley, aged 39 and based in Wakefield, faces one count of sexual assault on a female over the age of 16.
The incident is said to have happened off duty.
He is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates Court on February 16.
Shelley has been suspended from duty pending the court proceedings.
