A West Yorkshire Police officer will be sentenced in December after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman.

PC Jack Blagbrough, aged 32, and a serving Kirklees officer, was found guilty by a jury at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (8th October).

He will be sentenced on 15th December.

The offence occurred at an address in the Bradford area in 2024, while Blagbrough was off duty.

He was arrested after the victim reported the offence and suspended from duty. He was charged in July 2025.

Detective Chief Superintendent Tanya Wilkins, head of the Professional Standards Directorate, said:

"Reducing sexual offending against women remains a key focus for West Yorkshire Police, and we do all we can bring those responsible for this offending to justice.

"The public rightly expects police officers who protect them to operate to the highest standards, and we will absolutely not tolerate one of our officers acting in the manner that PC Blagbrough did.

"Gross misconduct proceedings will now commence following his conviction."
