Three arrested after reports of fighting in Huddersfield

Three people have been arrested after reports of large-scale fight involving weapons in Huddersfield.

Police were called at around midnight to Edale Avenue following reports that several people were fighting in the street.

Two 16-year-old boys and one 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of affray. con Street.

Detective Inspector Richard Grace of Kirklees CID said:

“This is a very serious incident involving teenagers on the streets of Huddersfield.

“We understand there was a house party that was attended by around 100 people, following which an altercation took place involving a number of individuals.

“Three people received injuries that fortunately were not life-threatening.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was at the party, witnessed the incident, or has mobile phone footage of the fight taking place.”
