18 year old from Leeds charged with murder of 26-year-old man in Westminster

He'll appear in court following fatal stabbing

An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of Farmanullah Sherzad in Westminster.

Suliaman Tajzai, from Wesley Road, Leeds, was charged on 31st March after a 26-year-old man was found with stab wounds in Abbey Orchard Street on 27th March.

The incident occurred at around 22:17 when police responded to reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended the scene promptly and administered first aid to the victim before he was transported to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where he was pronounced dead.

Farmanullah Sherzad's family are currently being supported by specialist officers.

In connection with the case, a 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Suliaman Tajzai is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on 1st April.
