Part of Leeds St James' Hospital was evacuated earlier today after a hoax bomb threat.

Police say they were called at 12:05pm to the Gledhow Wing to reports of a note being found in a toilet, which claimed a 'suspicious device' was present within the hospital.

The building was briefly cleared while searches were carried but police ultimately found nothing untoward and now believe the threat was not credible.

Investigations into the origin of the threat are ongoing.
