Police appeal after woman threatened at knifepoint in Leeds

A woman in her fifties has been threatened with a knife during an armed robbery in Leeds.

It happened on Spen Lane in West Park late on Tuesday night, when two masked men stole her purse as she arrived home in her car.

Police are investigating and want to hear from anyone who saw anything or has footage from the area.

Detective Inspector Victoria Vessey of Leeds CID, said: “This has been a disturbing offence in which the victim was thankfully unhurt but clearly left very shaken by what occurred.

“A number of enquiries have been ongoing overnight and we would like to speak to anyone who can assist the investigation with information or footage or who saw the suspects in the West Park and Luttrell Place areas.

“Uniformed officers are conducting reassurance patrols in West Park today and I can promise residents all necessary enquires are being carried out to find an arrest those responsible.
