Pensioners charged with aggravated assault in Halifax park

Two facing charges after Manor Heath Park incident

Two pensioners from Halifax, have been charged following an incident that took place in Manor Heath Park, Halifax, on 28th August 2025.

Fyona Bairstow, 72, and Michael Bairstow, 77, of Shelf, are facing charges of racially/religiously aggravated common assault.

Michael Bairstow is also charged with assault by beating.

The couple are due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on 11th March.
