Witness appeal after police officer assaulted in Bradford
The officer was attacked after chasing after two people who abandoned a vehicle
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a police officer was assaulted in Bradford earlier this month.
It happened on Hall Avenue after 10:45pm on February 8.
A Mercedes Sprinter van which had failed to stop for officers was abandoned on the road, with a driver and passenger attempting to run from the scene.
An officer managed to catch one of them, but was assaulted an suffered minor injuries.
Two members of the public, a man and a woman, helped to officer.
A 40 year old man, arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, has been released under investigation.
Witnesses, or anyone with information, are being urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
