Multiple Men Jailed Following Halifax Disorder
6 men have been sentenced for their involvement in serious disorder in Halifax earlier this year.
On Wednesday 5 February 2025, police were called to Mile Cross Road in Halifax to reports of people fighting in the street with weapons.
Weapons included a machete, baseball bats, planks of wood and other household items such as broomsticks. Two men suffered life changing injuries.
A further incident occurred, on Monday 11 March, linked to the disorder on Mile Cross Road, whereby a man was assaulted with an axe.
Over 35 people have been arrested as part of the investigation, which is still ongoing.
From those arrested, 21 men were charged with a range of offences, including conspiracy to commit violent disorder, violent disorder, possession of offensive weapons and criminal damage.
