Fire crews remain at Marsden Moor as wildfires continue to burn
Flames broke out in the Deer Hill and Five Mile Post areas yesterday
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say crews remain at the scene of a wildfire that broke out yesterday on Marsden Moor.
The blazes, in the areas of Deer Hill and Five Mile Post, were first reported yesterday afternoon and have continued to burn through the night.
Four crews and four wildfire units were on scene as of 11:30am this morning on what is expected to be one of the warmest days of the year across West Yorkshire.
The fire service say they took 71 calls about this incident yesterday. People are being urged to stay away from the area.
