Police say man struck by two cars in Leeds was a targeted incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was driven at and struck by two cars in Leeds.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the incident last night at the BP garage on the A64, York Road in Seacroft, Leeds.

Officers were alerted to an incident yesterday evening at around 8.45pm on Thursday 4th June.

It was reported a man had got out of the passenger side of a Volkswagen Golf and then been deliberately driven at and struck by two cars which had arrived at the location.

Both cars drove off, with the victim returning to the Golf which made off.

The victim, a man his 40s, was later located in hospital where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

West Yorkshire Police say a number of enquiries are ongoing to determine the fuller circumstances of the incident which is being treated as a targeted assault involving vehicles.
