Man taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Leeds

Police say a man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Leeds.
It happened early this morning.
A Police statement said:
"At 5.28am this morning, police were called to a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a bus in Vicar Lane in Leeds city centre.
"The pedestrian, a 51-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
"A scene remains in place in Vicar Lane to undergo collision investigation work, while officers continue to monitor the man’s condition in hospital."
