Man extradited from US and charged with firearms offences in Halifax

It comes after an incident where a gun was fired at a house in Halifax

A man has been charged with firearms offences after an incident three years ago where a gun was fired at a home in Halifax.

Ellis Thornton, 26, is due before Leeds Magistrates' tomorrow, charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

These charges stem from an incident on January 29 2023, involving a gun being fired at a home on Lister Lane,

Thornton had been held in custody in the United States on a separate case.

Upon his return to the UK today he was charged and remanded.
