Man dies in hospital after reports of altercation in Farnley

A man in his 20s has died after reports of an altercation at a house in Farnley.

Police attended an address on Tong Way on Sunday morning (26/10) where they found the man in need of medical condition. He later died in hospital.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, police say they believe he was in possession of a machete and Class B drugs.

The mans death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Detectives say they'd like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area in the time leading up to the initial report to police, or anyone who has footage which may assist in the investigation of this incident.
