Man charged with rape and sexual assault in Leeds
West Yorkshire Police have issued an update on two investigations, including one dating back to 2021
Detectives have charged a man with sexual offences in connection with two investigations in Leeds.
Rashid Kwabena Boachie has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Middleton Grove, Leeds, on 29th August 2021.
The 43 year old from Ashby Terrace in Leeds was also charged earlier this month over an alleged sexual assault in Blayds Yard, Leeds, during the early hours of Sunday 10th August.
West Yorkshire Police say Rashid Kwabena Boachie defines his ethnicity as Black African including Black British.
They've released that information as part of new rules forces have been given on publishing ethnicity details.
The 43 year old is currently on remand and is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Monday 1st September 2025.
