Jack Sinfield released by Leeds Rhinos to 'look at other options'
The 21 year old has been linked with Wakefield Trinity
Leeds Rhinos have released halfback Jack Sinfield to allow him to explore opportunities elsewhere.
The 21 year old son of Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield made his debut for the team in 2022 and has made 13 appearances for the first team over that time.
He has been strongly linked with a move to Super League rivals Wakefield Trinity.
Speaking to the Leeds Rhinos website Sporting Director Ian Blease said, “Jack’s agent approached the club about the possibility of a release to allow him to look at longer term options from next season."
"Jack has been an outstanding professional and a vital member of our squad over the last two seasons, particular preparation for the first team in our opposed training sessions and leading our young Reserves team this season.
"But we understand his desire to be a starting half back and to run a team. I look forward to seeing how he progresses in the coming years. He is a popular member of our squad and leaves Headingley with our best wishes.”
