Jim Lenihan appointed new Huddersfield Giants Head Coach

The former Giants player joins on a long term deal

Huddersfield Giants have announced the appointment of Jim Lenihan as their new Head Coach on a long term deal.

Lenihan, who previously served as an assistant coach for the Gold Coast Titans and won the Intrust Super Cup premiership twice, is awaiting visa clearances before he head to West oYorkshire.

Having played for Huddersfield Giants during the 1999 season, Lenihan is familiar with the club, featuring 21 times and scoring several tries.

He will now take on the role of Head Coach, collaborating closely with the Giants’ performance staff.

The club says Lenihan was selected from a 'pool of outstanding candidates'

It follows the sacking of Luke Robinson in March - with Giants currently sitting rock bottom of Super League.
